Raising the Roof!

Today was another awesome day. It is amazing how a roof makes a house a house. =) We did have a little snafu. As they were setting the trusses, we came up 3 trusses short over the garage/master bedroom. It turns out the itemized list of trusses from the lumber yard did not match up with the drawing they provided of the truss plan. The big plan called for 11. The itemized list called for 8, so only 8 were built and delivered. Doh! However, a phone call and 2 hours later, while we still had the crane, our 3 trusses showed up. Talk about customer service. Mistakes can happen, but being able to correct them so quickly is the important thing. In addition to trusses, we also got stairs going from the 1st floor to the 2nd floor. No need to worry about the pregnant lady using a ladder anymore! =)
